A bit of philosophy (for lack of lolz)

April 18, 2009

I’ve noticed that a lot of things people say can take on a new, but equally true, meaning if you swap certain nouns.

For example, my bit the other day, where I reversed the words “children” and “God” to make a point on the relativity of perspective.  It’s happened a couple of times since then, neither of which I can recall at the moment.  Of course it doesn’t work on everything – you’d have a hard time using it on Shakespeare, for example – but it’s very entertaining and enlightening to try it occasionally.
